Use Eco-Mode to quickly select one or more ways to reduce your printer's environmental impact.
From the printer control panel, navigate to:

> General Settings >
> Eco-Mode >
> select the setting you want

In the Sleep Mode field, select the number of minutes the printer is idle before it enters Sleep mode.
Apply the changes.
Hibernate is an ultra-low-power saving mode.

Select Press Sleep Button or Press and Hold Sleep Button, and then press .
Press Hibernate > .
Hibernate Timeout lets you set the amount of time the printer waits after a print job is processed before it goes into a reduced power state.
Open a Web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.
Notes:
Click Settings > General Settings > Timeouts.
From the Hibernate Timeout menu, select the number of hours, days, weeks, or months you want for the printer to wait before it goes into a reduced power state.
Click Submit.
From the printer control panel, navigate to:

> Hibernate Timeout >
Select the amount of time the printer waits after a print job is processed before it enters Hibernate mode.

Schedule Power Modes lets you schedule when the printer goes into a reduced power state or into the Ready state.
Note: This feature is available only in network printers or printers connected to print servers. |
Open a Web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.
Notes:
Click Settings > General Settings > Schedule Power Modes.
From the Action menu, select the power mode.
From the Time menu, select the time.
From the Day(s) menu, select the day or days.
Click Add.
To save energy, or if you have trouble reading the display, adjust its brightness settings.
Open a Web browser, and then type the printer IP address in the address field.
Notes:
Click Settings > General Settings.
In the Screen Brightness field, enter the brightness percentage you want for the display.
Click Submit.
