power button

  • Turn the printer on and off.

  • Cancel a print job. Press power button in the middle of a print job.

  • Load or eject paper.

  • Troubleshoot. For more information, see Blinking power light troubleshooting.

Access cover

  • Install or change the print cartridges.

  • Clear paper jams.

Paper exit tray

Stack paper as it exits.

Paper feed guard

Prevent items from falling into the paper slot.

Paper guide

Keep paper straight when feeding.

Paper support

Load paper.

Use the

USB port

Connect the printer to a computer using a USB cable.

Power supply

Connect the printer to a power source using the power cord.

  1. Plug the power cord all the way into the power supply on the printer.

  2. Plug the power cord into an electrical outlet that other electrical devices have been using.
