Configuring a network printer

Configure the All-In-One for use on a network by setting its Internet Protocol (IP) address. You can set the IP address of an All-In-One attached to a network either through a built-in factory installed network interface (available on some specific printers), or through an optional external network adapter.

Note: If the printer has been previously configured, it can be used without being reconfigured provided no one else is currently using that same IP address.

Configuring the printer using the Printer Selection dialog:

  1. Open the Lexmark 3300 Series Utility.
  2. From the menu bar, choose Advanced to display the Advanced menu.
  3. Choose Select Printer.
  4. Select the printer from the list, and then click Configure.
    1. Assign an IP address to the network printer. Contact your system support person for more information.
    2. Click OK to go back to the Printer Selection dialog.
  5. Select the printer from the list on the Printer Selection dialog.
  6. Click Select.
