Erasing non-volatile memory

  1. Turn off the printer.

  2. Open the front door of the printer and hold down the start button while turning the printer on. Release the start button only when the printer control panel light sequence matches the light sequence in the following illustration.

    Load paper light - On

    Toner cartridge light - On

    Ready light - On

    Start button light - On

  3. Press the cancel button until the printer control panel light sequence matches the light sequence in the following illustration, and then press the start button.

    Load paper light - Blinking

    Toner cartridge light - Blinking

    The printer will restart several times during this process.

    Note: Wipe All Settings securely removes device settings, jobs, and passwords from the printer memory.

  4. Close the front door.
