The Background and Idle Screen application allows you to change the image used as the background on the printer home screen as well as the images used on the printer idle screen.
Images used on the home or idle screens must meet the following requirements:
GIF, JPEG, and PNG formats only
A file size no larger than 128K
A home screen background image size (in pixels) no larger than 800 x 405
An idle screen image size (in pixels) no larger than 800 x 480
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions > Background and Idle Screen > Configure.
Under Home Screen Image, beside Background Images, select Custom.
Beside Custom Image, click Browse.
Browse to the graphic you want to use, and then click Open.
Click Apply.
Notes:
From the home screen, touch the Change Background icon.
Select the background you want to use, and then click Apply.
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions > Background and Idle Screen > Configure.
Under Home Screen Background, beside Background Image, select the image you want to use.
Click Apply.
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions > Background and Idle Screen > Configure.
Beside Idle Screen Images, click Add.
Enter an Image Name.
Beside Image, click Browse.
Browse to the graphic you want to use, and then click Open.
Click Apply.
Repeat steps 3 through 6 to add additional idle screen images.
Note: You can add up to ten idle screen images. |
Click Apply.
Click Apply.
Notes:
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions > Background and Idle Screen > Configure.
Beside Idle Screen Images, select the image you want to edit, and then click Edit.
If desired, change the Image Name.
Beside Image, click Browse.
Browse to the graphic you want to use, and then click Open.
Click Apply.
Repeat steps 3 through 6 to edit additional idle screen images.
Notes:
Click Apply.
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions > Background and Idle Screen > Configure.
Beside Idle Screen Images, select the image you want to delete, and then click Delete.
Click Remove.
Click Apply.
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions > Background and Idle Screen > Configure.
Under Idle Screen Settings, make sure Enable is selected.
Beside Start Time, enter the number of seconds the printer is idle before the idle screen images appear.
Beside Image Interval, enter the number of seconds between image changes.
Click Apply.
You can export configuration settings into a text file that can then be imported and used to apply the settings to one or more additional printers.
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions.
From Installed Solutions, click the name of the application you want to configure.
Click Configure.
Click Export.
Follow the browser prompts to save the configuration file. You will have the option to enter a unique file name or use the default name.
Note: If a JVM Out of Memory error occurs, repeat the export until the settings file is saved. |
From the Embedded Web Server, click Settings > Embedded Solutions.
From Installed Solutions, click the name of the application you want to configure.
Click Configure.
Click Import.
Browse to the saved configuration file, and then load or preview it.
Note: If a timeout occurs and a blank screen appears, refresh the browser, and then click Apply. |
