LEXMARK DISPLAY CUSTOMIZATION Readme for version 4.5.13 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK DISPLAY CUSTOMIZATION application. Lexmark Display Customization is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v5.x. Display Customization lets the user upload custom images to the device. The images can be shown as a slide show or used as a wallpaper or as a screen saver on the e-Task interface. 2. Supported eSF v5.x printers include: * CS720 * Required firmware level: CB.030.036 or later * CS820 * Required firmware level: YK.030.036 or later * CS92x * Required firmware level: CSTMH.040.055 or later * CX725 * Required firmware level: ATL.030.036 or later * CX820 * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later * CX825, CX860 * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later * CX92x * Required firmware level: CXTMH.040.055 or later b. Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 256MB RAM. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE a. Image file size requirements: eSF v5.x printers * Supported images: JPEG, PNG, GIF (rendered as static, not animated). * The file size is no larger than 64KB. * We recommend using an image with a resolution of 800 x 400 pixels. b. The application can show alerts and warnings that occur only after the application is installed and enabled. c. Card Authentication is compatible with the quick access setting of Screen Saver. The application can show functionalities like Copy and Fax on top of Screen Saver. 5. RELEASE NOTES a. Bug fixes. b. Improved handling of Screensaver images. c. Improved integration with Card Authentication. d. Improved handling during application start and version upgrade. e. Added support for CS92x and CX92x printers.
