Increasing LDD print queue availability

Printer pooling provides a single print queue to several users and can prevent backups when large jobs are submitted.

1. From the print queue, open the printer properties.

2. From the Ports tab, select Enable printer pooling, and then add a Lexmark Document Server port.

3. Select the Lexmark Document Server port created for the selected printer, and then click Next.

4. Select the profile used for the port created for the selected printer, and then click Next.

   Notes:

   • Do not select a profile that prompts.
   • If the server is running many jobs, then profiles on the server may not appear in the list. Wait until the server is ready, and then try adding the port again.

5. Follow the instructions on the screen.

   Note: You can add more Lexmark Document Server ports, and then add them to the same profile.

6. Apply the changes.
