From LMC, click the Services tab.
From the Services list, select Email.
From the Tasks list, select Parameters.
Enter the e-mail server I/O timeout in seconds.
Enter the e-mail server connection timeout in seconds. The default value is
.Type the user name and password used to log in to your SMTP server.
Type the e-mail server host name or IP address.
Click Apply.
To improve reliability during device discovery, configure the timeout periods between communication retries.
From LMC, click the Services tab.
From the Services list, select NPA.
From the Tasks list, select Parameters.
In the Unsecure Port field, enter the port number used for NPA on your network. The default value is

.In the Read Community Name field, type the read community string for printers on your network.
In the Write Community Name field, type the write community string for printers on your network.
Click Apply.
Note: Only authentication through password or PIN is supported. Make sure that the Basic Security template matches the authentication type and the password or PIN that are configured in LMC. This configuration enables communication with Basic Security template–enabled devices. |
From LMC, click the Services tab.
From the Services list, select DeviceSecurity.
From the Tasks list, select Parameters.
Select the authentication type for the device, and then type the password or PIN.
Click Apply.
