The Lexmark Keep Alive service is a Windows service that queries the status of the software load balancer from the hardware load balancer in enterprise environments. The service is a web-based application that is used by other applications that serve as an HTTP client. It can be installed on the software load balancer or other machines.
From the computer, run the CD, and then navigate to the \tools\LDDKeepAliveService folder.
Run the LDDKeepAliveSetup.exe file, and then click Next.
Do the following to establish communication between Apache 2.0 and the load balancer using the LDD Keep Alive service.
Configure the Apache httpd.conf file by accessing it at
(for example, C:\Program Files\Lexmark\Solutions\Apache2\conf\httpd).Restart the Apache 2.0 service from the Services tab.
Install the LDD Keep Alive service.
Open the LDD Keep Alive service installation directory.
Access the LDD Keep Alive properties file.
Configure the digest authentication by enabling or disabling the
key-value pair.Restart the LDD Keep Alive service from the Services tab.
To view information on the Tomcat servers, click any of the following URLs:
http://[LddKeepAliveService IP]:7999/LDD/KeepAlive
http://[LddKeepAliveService IP]:7999/LDD/KeepAlive/
http://[LddKeepAliveService IP]:7999/LDD/KeepAlive/IP=[LB IP]
Access the LDD installation directory of Apache 2.0 (for example, C:\Program Files\Lexmark\Solutions\Apache2).
Open the user.passwd file, and then change the password.
Notes:
Restart the Apache 2.0 service.
Change the password in the properties file.
Restart the LDD Keep Alive service.
Navigate to <LDD Installation directory>\install\Silent_Install_Script_Examples.
Run the command prompt as an administrator.
Run the Install_KeepAliveService.bat batch file.
