1.  OVERVIEW

    This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK FAX OVER IP
    application.

    Lexmark Fax Over IP is an embedded solution that can be installed on
    printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v4.x,
    v3.x, or v2.x. The application allows printers to send and receive faxes
    over a network connection using the T.38 protocol. This eliminates the need
    for an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA) in a VoIP environment where fax
    functionality is required.

3.  REQUIREMENTS

    a.  A printer that supports eSF v4.x, v3.x, or v2.x applications.

        Supported eSF v4.x printers include:

    b.  Memory:  The printer must have a minimum of 256MB RAM.


    c.  License:  This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a
                  license, go to www.lexmark.com and click the "Contact Lexmark"
                  link at the bottom of the screen.

    No known issues at this time.
