Securing server communication

  1. From the Fleet Tracker web portal, click the settings icon > Server.

  2. From the Server Security Configuration section, click Configure Server Security.

  3. Configure the SSL certificate information.

  4. Click Generate SSL Certificate.

    Note: To sign the SSL certificate by a trusted authority, download the certificate signing request (CSR). Sign the certificates, and then apply the vendor signed certificates.

  5. Enable the secure port, and then enter the port number.

  6. Click Save, and then let the server automatically restart.

  7. Access the Fleet Tracker web portal again. For more information, see Accessing the Fleet Tracker web portal.

  8. Configure the data collectors to communicate with the LFT server using a secured port.

  9. Click the settings icon > Server.

  10. From the Server Configuration section, clear Server Port (Non-Secured Port).
