Accessing MVE

To access MVE, use the login credentials that you created during installation. You can also set up other login methods, such as LDAP, Kerberos, or other local accounts. For more information, see Setting up user access.

1. Open a web browser, and then do either of the following:

   • Type http://MVE_SERVER:9788/mve/, where MVE_SERVER is the host name or IP address of the server hosting MVE.

   • If SSL is enabled, then type https://MVE_SERVER:8443/mve/, where MVE_SERVER is the host name or IP address of the server hosting MVE.

   Note: The default port numbers are 9788 and 8443, and they may differ depending on your configuration.

2. If necessary, accept the disclaimer.

3. Enter your credentials.

4. Click Log In.

Notes:

• After logging in, make sure that you change the default administrator password that was used during installation. For more information, see Changing your password.
• If MVE is idle for more than 30 minutes, then the user is logged out automatically.
