LEXMARK MULTI SEND
Readme for version 2.7.0, 2.6.2 and 2.5.0

1.  OVERVIEW

    This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK MULTI SEND
    application.

    Lexmark Multi Send is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers
    that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v4.x, v3.x, or
    v2.x. Multi Send enables users to scan once and send the scanned file to any
    or all of six possible destinations. These include copy, FTP, e-mail, fax,
    remote copy, and a share folder.

3.  REQUIREMENTS

    a.  A printer that supports eSF v4.x, v3.x, or v2.x applications.

        Supported eSF v4.x printers include:

          *  MX51x
             *  Required firmware level:  LW1.SB4.P131 or later.

          Multi Send comes built in for the following eSF v4.x printers and does
          not require a license:

          *  CX510
             *  Required firmware level:  LW1.GM7.P130 or later.

          *  MX61x
             *  Required firmware level:  LW1.SB7.P131 or later.

          *  MX6500e
             *  Required firmware level:  LW20.JD.P035a  or later.

          *  MX71x
             *  Required firmware level:  LW1.TU.P132 or later.

          *  MX81x
             *  Required firmware level:  LW1.TU.P132  or later.

          *  MX91x
             *  Required firmware level:  LF.MG.P039 or later.


        Supported eSF v3.x printers include:

        Supported eSF v2.x printers include:

    b.  Memory:  The printer must have a minimum of 256MB RAM.


    c.  Hard Drive:  The printer must have a hard drive.


    d.  License:  This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a
                  license, go to www.lexmark.com and click the "Contact Lexmark"
                  link at the bottom of the screen.


4.  LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF RELEASE

    Common Issues:

    a.  FTP will not work if there are spaces in the FTP address. For example,
        "myServer.com/my folder."

    b.  In the Fax interface, the Fax Cover Page function does not work; it is
        ignored by Multi Send.

    c.  XPS and Secure PDF files cannot be sent over fax.
	
    d.  Processing will take longer than usual if destinations are 
        unavailable (e.g. server cannot be reached).


    Issues for eSF v4.x Printers:

    a.  The Copy To function will not work with XPS file types.

    b.  If TIFF is chosen as the output file type and fax workflow is enabled,
        only single TIFF is supported.
