LEXMARK PRINT RELEASE SaaS Readme for version 5.6.0 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of LEXMARK PRINT RELEASE SOFTWARE AS A SERVICE (SaaS). SaaS is a deployment option for the Lexmark Print Release and Document Accounting solutions. These solutions let customers effectively manage and monitor their document output. Lexmark Print Release SaaS consists of the following applications: * CLOUD AUTHENTICATION This application requires users to authenticate with an ID card before they can use the printer. * PRINT RELEASE This application allows users to release jobs securely from cloud-based, Premise-based, or serverless-based print queues. The application can also send user accounting data to the accounting server. 2. ASSOCIATED FILES The following files and publications are included in the release. a. REQUIREMENTS a. A printer that supports eSF v6.x or higher applications. Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 256MB of RAM. c. License: These applications require an electronic license. Card reader and driver: This application requires a card reader and an appropriate driver for card login. To obtain these items, go to wwww.lexmark.com, and then click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE a. The card reader and driver are sold separately. To purchase the card reader, go to www.lexmark.com, and then click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. b. Users must register with a badge through a card reader to use a printer. If a different card reader model is used, then it may not recognize the badge. Either use the same card reader model, or register the card again when prompted. c. Logging in to a printer using Cloud Authentication is not needed to perform host-based printing. d. Large jobs from the cloud-based print queue may take several minutes to print. e. When submitting a job through LPMC and viewing the job summary from the LPM SaaS web portal, "PRINT RELEASE" is the job name instead of the actual file name. f. Supported web browsers: * Google Chrome™ version 43.x or later * Mozilla Firefox version 38.x or later * Internet Explorer version 11.x or later g. Cloud Authentication is set as default login in Security settings. h. Cloud Authentication must not coexist with Card Authentication. i. When installing Cloud Authentication application, the Screen Saver feature of Display Customization must be disabled. 5.
