Configuring the prerequisite steps for the LEAP feature

For administrators

1. Create a Facebook account or sign in to your existing account.

2. Create a Facebook page or use your existing page.

3. Sign in to the Meta developer page at https://developers.facebook.com .

4. Click My Apps > Create App > Others > Next .

5. Click the Type as Business > Next .

6. Type an app name, and then click Create app .

7. From the App Dashboard, click > Add Products to your App > Facebook Login for Business > Set up .

8. Navigate to the Settings and enable Client Oauth login , Web Oauth login , and Log in with JavaScript SDK .

9. Click the Valid Oauth Redirect URI and Allowed Domains for the Javascript SDK , and then select Save Changes .

10. From the Configurations section, select Create configuration .

11. Select User Access Token .

12. Select the following permissions:

    • page_events

    • pages_manage_ads

    • pages_manage_cta

    • pages_manage_engagement

    • pages_manage_instant_articles

    • pages_manage_metadata

    • pages_manage_posts

    • pages_messaging

    • pages_read_management

    • pages_read_user_content

    • pages_show_list

    • publish_video

    • read_insights

    • ads_management

    • ads_read

    • email

    • business_management

13. Create the configuration, and then get the configuration ID .

14. Add the app ID , app Client ID , and configuration ID to the appsettings.json file of the Meta connector.

Note:  Set App Mode to Live before starting the test. Enter your company privacy URL to update App Mode.

For users

1. Request for access from your administrator.

2. Sign in to the Meta developer page at https://developers.facebook.com .

3. Navigate to your profile and accept the administration request.

4. Get the endpoint of the Digital Media Export core mentioned in the appsettings.Config file of PPM.

5. Click Log In .
