1. OVERVIEW

    This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK SCAN TO
    SHAREPOINT application.

    Lexmark Scan to SharePoint is an embedded solution that can be installed
    on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF)
    v3.x and v4.x. Scan to SharePoint lets users scan documents to sites housed
    on SharePoint servers. It also lets users explore the SharePoint sites,
    create folders, and print documents stored in the folders.

3. STANDARD INSTALLATION REQUIREMENTS

    a. A printer that supports eSF v3.x applications

        Supported eSF v3.x printers include:

    c. Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 256MB RAM.


    d. License: This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a
                license, go to www.lexmark.com, and then click "Contact Us"
                at the bottom of the page.


4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE

    a. Canceling an in-progress scan job may still result in a file being
       uploaded to the server. This file can be deleted manually from the
       server.

    b. If the time zones are different between the server and the printer, then
       the custom date for Columns may differ from the actual input; the custom
       date may inherit the server time zone automatically.

    c. If the file reaches the maximum upload size limit of the SharePoint server,
       then scanning a large number of pages with high-resolution settings may fail.
       Scan the pages across multiple jobs, or contact your administrator.

    d. Added NT LAN Manager Security Support Provider (NTLMSSP)-based server
       support including secure RPC.

    e. "Required" client certificate in IIS SSL settings is currently not supported
       except for SCAC authentication.

    f. Creating or viewing documents and folders with file names containing special characters
       is not supported.

    g. For a column that requires a unique value, no error message appears.

    h. SharePoint Online does not support multifactor authentication.

    i. A SharePoint URL that exceeds 255 characters may cause upload and folder
       creation error.
