LEXMARK SOLUTION COMPOSER (Moja) Readme for version 2.11.2 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK SOLUTION COMPOSER application. Lexmark Solution Composer is an easy-to-use program that lets users build custom workflow solutions for printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) or mobile devices with the Lexmark Mobile Capture application. These solutions can range in complexity from one- or two-step processes to workflows involving multiple user prompts and index files. The GUI component of Solution Composer, with its drag-and-drop interface, lets users build solutions immediately, no programming experience necessary. The custom solutions can then be deployed to a mobile device or printer. 2. ASSOCIATED FILES The following files and publications are included in the release: a. Application files * solnComp_e6-2.11.2.fls * The Solution Composer Agent application for eSF printers * SolutionComposer.exe * The Solution Composer GUI component * version 102.9.6 b. Solution packages created with previous versions of the solution Composer GUI do not execute on version 1.0 or later. Solution Composer GUI a. Inserting a variable in a multiline text area with highlighted text is not being handled correctly. b. Inserting text in a multiline text area that extends beyond the boundary of the text area is not being handled correctly. c. Direct deployment feature is not available on v5.x printers. d. Some direct deployment may fail when Device Management on the application configuration is secured. Solution Composer Agent a. The Cancel Job button in the Scan to Fax task and the Copy task does not return to the home screen. b. A fax number is required in the Scan to Fax task even if Prompt At Runtime is selected. c. The Index File to FTP and Scan to FTP tasks do not support non-ASCII characters in the file name. d. Scanning a large file may result in a timeout condition on the printer, and the workflow may terminate prematurely. Increasing the printer control panel timeout setting may prevent this. e. The Print Confirmation task does not fully support the use of currency symbols. f. FAC configurations do not persist over solution updates initiated by Solution Composer. g. Solutions for X792x, X925x, X95x, and 6500e printers cannot be updated through the Embedded Web Server. For these printers, uninstall the previous version of the solution before installing the later version. h. A print confirmation string does not wrap without white space. Sometimes, the string leads to characters being cut off the side of the page. i. Added support for DOCX file format on v5.x printers only. j. Added support for following the time format of the device setting when adding the timestamp variable board. k. Added sftp support but uses an newer library version which causes an error when scanning to an SFTP server requiring an older version of the JSCH Library. l. Accessing SoCo workflow applications via shortcut number, it will still reflect the information provided by the SoCo workflow but it will be regarded as a shortcut for the native workflow. Thus, any additional tasks in the SoCo workflow will not be called. m. The transmission logs setting from the Embedded Web Server has no effect on a Solution Composer Email (Standard or Secure) workflow. 6. RELEASE NOTES * Bug fixes * Added support for scanning to SFTP (Under Scan to FTP workflow task). Added a checkbox to "Use sFTP" to enable this function.
