Readme for version 2.10.3
                  
1. OVERVIEW

    This Readme file pertains to the current release of the SOLUTION
    COMPOSER application.

    Solution Composer is an easy-to-use program that lets users
    build custom workflow solutions for printers that support the 
    Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) or mobile devices running the
    Lexmark Mobile Capture application. These solutions can range in
    complexity from one- or two-step processes to workflows involving 
    multiple user prompts and index files.

    The graphic user interface (GUI) component of Solution Composer, 
    with its drag-and-drop interface, lets users build solutions 
    immediately, no programming experience necessary. The custom 
    solutions can then be deployed to a mobile device or printer.

3. REQUIREMENTS FOR SOLUTION COMPOSER DESIGNER

    a. Windows 10, Windows 8.1, Windows 8, and Windows 7
    b. Java version 1.6 or later
    c. 1GB or more of RAM 
    d. 1.8GHz or faster processor
    e. PDF reader (for Help files)


4. REQUIREMENTS FOR PRINTER WORKFLOWS

    a. A printer that supports eSF v5.x applications.

        Supported eSF v5.x printers include:

         * CX725
            * Required firmware level: ATL.030.036 or later

         * CX82x
            * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later

         * CX860
            * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later

         * MX522, MX622
            * Required firmware level: MXTGM.040.066 or later

         * CX92x
            * Required firmware level: CXTMH.040.055 or later
       
         * CX421, CX522
            * Required firmware level: CXTZJ.050.031 or later
       
         * MX72x, MX82x
            * Required firmware level: MXTGW.050.031 or later
        
    b. Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 256MB RAM.

    c. License: This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a
                license, go to www.lexmark.com, and then click "Contact Us".


5. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE

    a. Solution Composer version 1.0 and later are not compatible with
       versions 0.5.0 and 0.5.1. Before installing version 1.0 or later,
       remove any previous versions of the Solution Composer Agent from
       the printer. Solution packages created with previous versions of
       the Solution Composer GUI do not deploy on version 1.0 or later.

    Solution Composer GUI  
         
    a. Inserting a variable in a multi-line text area with highlighted text
       is not being handled correctly.

    b. Inserting text in a multi-line text area that extends beyond the
       boundary of the text area is not being handled correctly.

    c. The direct deployment feature is not available in v5.x printers. 


    Solution Composer Agent

    a. The Cancel Job button in the Scan to Fax task and the Copy task does
       not return to the home screen.

    b. A fax number is required in the Scan to Fax task even if Prompt At
       Runtime is selected. 

    c. The Index File to FTP and Scan to FTP tasks do not support non-ASCII
       characters in the file name.

    d. Scanning a large file may result in a timeout condition on the printer
       and the workflow may terminate prematurely. Increase the printer
       control panel timeout setting.

    e. The Print Confirmation task does not fully support the use of currency
       symbols.

    f. FAC configurations do not persist over solution updates initiated by
       Solution Composer.

    g. Solutions for X792x, X925x, X95x, and 6500e printers cannot currently
       be updated through the Embedded Web Server. Uninstall the previous 
       version of the solution before installing the new version.

    h. A print confirmation string does not wrap without white space. Sometimes,
       characters may be cut off the side of the page.

    i. Scanning in color on ReadSoft Online task is always in monochrome 
       output.

    j. On ReadSoft Online task, secure PDF and its MRC and OCR combination, XPS,
       RTF, TXT, and DOCX formats are not applicable.

    k. On ReadSoft Online Task, depending on the image size, some landscape 
       scanning shows as portrait.

    l. When the fax server settings are incorrect for Multi Send, the solution
       cannot proceed to other tasks.

    m. The transmission logs setting from the Embedded Web Server has no effect 
       on a Solution Composer Email (Standard or Secure) workflow.     


6. RELEASE NOTES

   * Added support for MX522, MX622, CX421, CX522, MX72x, MX82x printers.
   * Bug fixes.
