Understanding Translation Assistant

LexmarkTM Translation Assistant is an Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) application that lets you scan documents in an original language and translate them to a target language. You can then print or email the translated documents.

Translation Assistant uses optical character recognition (OCR) to recognize text in a scanned document and submit it to Azure Cognitive Services for machine translation.

This document provides information on how to use, configure, and troubleshoot the Translation Assistant eSF application.

Note: Lexmark also offers the Translation Assistant web portal. This cloud solution lets you upload files in an original language and translate them to a target language.
