LEXMARK DOWNTIME REPORTS Readme for version 5.0.24 1. OVERVIEW This Readme file pertains to the current release of the LEXMARK DOWNTIME REPORTS application. Lexmark Downtime Reports is an embedded solution that can be installed on printers that support the Lexmark Embedded Solutions Framework (eSF) v6.x. The application retrieves files from a network share or FTP destination, as well as prints jobs coming in through port 9444 and stores them in the printer hard disk. The application updates the files on the printer at a configurable rate to ensure the files are up-to-date. This feature lets users select and print the latest versions of these files without network access. 2. ASSOCIATED FILES The following files and publications are included in the release. a. A printer that supports eSF v6.x applications. Supported eSF v6.x printers include: * CS725 * Required firmware level: CB.030.036 or later * CS820 * Required firmware level: YK.030.036 or later * CS92x * Required firmware level: CSTMH.040.055 or later * CX725 * Required firmware level: ATL.030.036 or later * CX82x * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later * CX860 * Required firmware level: PP.030.036 or later * CX92x * Required firmware level: CXTMH.040.055 or later b. Memory: The printer must have a minimum of 1GB RAM. c. Hard disk: The printer must have a hard disk. d. License: This application requires an electronic license. To obtain a license, go to www.lexmark.com, and then click "Contact Us" at the bottom of the page. 4. LIMITATIONS AND COMPATIBILITY OF THE RELEASE a. If the application is writing files to the hard disk, then users may experience lagging or delay when launching the application on the printer control panel or when accessing the Web application. b. If an error occurs while updating the network share or FTP report folders, then no error message appears. c. A maximum of 300 files sorted by its last modified time stamp can be viewed on the printer control panel. Access the Web application to view all the files. d. Depending on the number of reports and the frequency of the sync interval, prolonged use of the device without restarting may increase memory consumption, which can affect performance. This limitation will be resolved in a future release of the application. e. The application supports PDF, TIFF, JPG, GIF, PNG, XPS, DOC, DOCX, XLS, XLSX, PPT, PPTX file formats for printing. f. Activity logs between 23:59:01 to 23:59:59 are saved on the next midnight log text file. 5.
