Adjusting color settings
Instead of using the automatic settings, you can manually adjust the color settings for optimum color output.
Adjusting color settings when printing
- Open a saved document.
- From the software application, choose File Print.
- From the pop-up menu that says "Copies & Pages", select Color Options.
- Choose from the following color settings:
- ColorProduces natural colors; ideal for printing photos and graphics.
- Black OnlyUses only the black cartridge to print, so that all output is pure black. This option also helps increase printing speed.
Adjusting color settings when scanning or copying
- Scan or copy an item.
- Open the Lexmark 3300 Series Center.
- On the Scan tab, you can adjust the color settings as follows:
- Click Preview/Edit.
- From the Settings tab, select a preset scan setting corresponding to the document.
If a preset setting is not satisfactory, customize the scan settings by adjusting color depth, resolution, and choosing a descreen option.
- From the Adjustments tab, adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, and blur or sharpen the image.
- Invert colors.
- On the Copy tab, you can adjust the color settings as follows:
- Click Preview/Edit.
- From the Settings tab under Copy Type area, select:
- Colorfor all color documents and images
- Grayscalefor black and white images
- Blackfor text-only documents.
- Descreen.
- From the Adjustments tab, adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, and blur or sharpen the image.
- Invert colors.
