Networking

A network is a group of computers or computer systems linked together for the purpose of sharing resources, such as printers, files, or an Internet connection.

You may share the All-In-One cross a network. When a printer is shared, the printer is connected to the host computer using a local cable, such as a USB cable, or the printer is connected to the network through a print server.

The All-In-One is a network-capable printer and can be networked or shared in two ways:

• By Networking with a print server
• By Using Printer Sharing




	When networking with a print server	When using Printer Sharing
Capabilities	Perform maintenance functions on all network computers Print without identifying a host computer	Perform maintenance functions only on the host computer Print when the host computer is on
For setup, you need:	Printer Print server Computers on a network	Printer Computers in a network with one computer designated as the host computer

Note:

Only one print job at a time can be sent to the network-attached All-In-One. Succeeding print jobs will be performed when the current print job is completed.
