Configure a network printer
TCP/IP must be active and running on all the network computers if you want to print to the network printer.
In Macintosh network environments using TCP/IP, the printer software supports automatic assignment of private IP addresses in the following ranges:
169.254.0.0-169.254.255.255
10.0.0.0-10.255.255.255
192.168.0.0-192.168.255.255
172.16.0.0-172.31.255.255
- Insert the printer software CD into the CD-ROM drive of one of the network computers. Double-click the installer icon when the CD contents are displayed.
