Scan clear images from magazines or newspapers
Descreening helps to remove wavy patterns from magazines or newspapers.
- Load your document on the scanner glass.
- Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.

The Lexmark All-In-One Center Main Page displays.
- Select the Scan tab.
- From What is being scanned? select the type of image you are scanning.
- Choose an option from the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu.
- From the Send scanned images to pop-up menu, choose a destination or application for your scanned image.
- Select Prompt for multiple pages if you have several items to scan.
- Click Scan.

Continue on to step 4 to view your scanned image and fine-tune your settings.
- Click Preview to open the Scan tab.
- From the Settings tab, choose a preset scan setting or select Custom Settings and manually adjust
the color depth and resolution.
- From the Descreen Magazine or Newspaper pop-up menu, choose Magazine if you are scanning a magazine image, and Newspaper if you are scanning a newspaper image.
- Click Scan to apply your settings and scan the image.
