Control panel on the All-In-One

From the control panel, you can perform a host of tasks utilizing your All-In-One's standalone capabilities. The control panel has three menus:

Navigate the menus on the control panel on the All-In-One. The illustration and table below show you the different control panel buttons and their functions.

Note: The menus and settings shown on the control panel display are available in various languages. To choose your preferred language, go to Choose a language setting for your control panel display.

Power

Turn your All-In-One on or off. Pressing the Power button also stops the print, scan, or copy process.

Rotate

Rotate the image on the control panel display 90 degrees.

Page Preview

Preview an image before it is printed, scanned, or copied. Multiple previews can be made before scanning. In Photo Card mode, you can preview multiple pages. Use the arrow buttons to scroll through the images.

Select

  • Choose a menu option.
  • In Photo Card mode, select or deselect an image to be printed.

Menu

  • Copy. Display the Copy menu, or return to the default Copy mode screen.
  • Scan. Display the Scan menu, or return to the default Scan mode screen.
  • Photo. Display the Photo menu, or return to the default Photo mode screen.

Stop/Clear

  • Cancel a scan, print, or copy job in progress.
  • In Photo Card mode, deselect the preview image selected.
  • When viewing a photo, you can cancel all photo selections. Press Stop/Clear twice, and then follow the instructions on the control panel display.
  • From a default mode screen, press Stop/Clear twice to return the All-In-One to its default settings.

Color

Start a color copy, scan, or photo job depending on which mode is selected.

  • Copy Mode. Start a color copy.
  • Scan Mode. Start a color scan.
  • Photo Card Mode. Start a color print job.

In order for a photo print job to start, a memory card must be inserted, or a digital camera must be connected to the All-In-One.

If there is DPOF information on the inserted memory card, the entire list of photos specified on the order form is printed.

Black

Start a black-and-white copy, scan, or photo print job, depending on which mode is selected.

  • Copy Mode. Start a black-and-white copy.
  • Scan Mode. Start a black-and-white scan.
  • Photo Card Mode. Start a black-and-white print job.

In order for a photo print job to start, a photo card must be inserted, or a digital camera connected to the All-In-One.

If there is a DPOF information on the inserted memory card, the entire list of photos specified on the order form is printed.

Up arrow

  • Scroll through menu options.
  • Change the selected area when cropping an image.
  • In Photo Card mode, skip forward through 10 of the pictures on the memory card to view every tenth picture on the control panel display.
  • Increase the number of copies.

Right arrow (+)

  • Scroll through menu options
  • Change the selected area when cropping an image.
  • Increase a menu item.
  • Display the previous picture on the memory card.
  • Increase the number of copies.

Down arrow

  • Scroll through menu options.
  • Change the selected area when cropping an image.
  • Decrease the number of copies.
  • In Photo Card mode, skip backward through 10 of the pictures on the memory card to view every tenth picture on the control panel display.

Left arrow (-)

  • Scroll through menu options.
  • Change the selected area when cropping an image.
  • Decrease the menu item.
  • Display the previous picture on a memory card.
  • Decrease the number of copies.

Resize

In Copy mode, enlarge or reduce an image.

In Photo Card mode:

  • Set the image size of photos.
  • Change the zoom of the selected area.

Number of Copies

Increase the copy count in Copy and Photo Card modes.

Note: This button does not function in Scan mode.

Select Copy, Scan, or Photo Card mode.

Note: The current selection is indicated by one of the three indicator lights.
