Switching from a USB connection to a wireless connection

  1. Run the wireless setup application. For more information, see Run the Wireless Configuration Utility.

  2. Print a test page to test the communication between the computer and the printer. For more information, see Printing a test page.

Switching from a wireless connection to a USB connection

  1. Insert one end of the USB cable into the USB port of the printer.

  2. Insert the other end of the USB cable into the USB port on the computer.

  3. On your computer, do one of the following:

    In Windows Vista:

    1. Click vista start button step Control Panel.

    2. Under Hardware and Sound, click Printer.

    In Windows XP:

    Note: Make sure that the printer driver is installed in the computer you are using. For more information, see Installing the printer on additional network computers.
  4. Right-click the Lexmark 9500 Series icon.

  5. Click Properties.

  6. From the Ports tab, select the USB port for your printer.

  7. Click Apply.

  8. Click OK.

  9. Print a test page to test the communication between the computer and the printer. For more information, see Printing a test page.
