Understanding the Bluetooth Default Settings menu

  1. From the control panel, press Up arrow button orDown arrow button repeatedly until Setup is highlighted.

  2. Press Select button.

  3. Press Up arrow button orDown arrow button repeatedly until Change Bluetooth Default Settings is highlighted.

  4. Press Select button.

  5. After making your choices, press Back button to save your selections as the default settings.

Bluetooth Enabled

Turn the Bluetooth function on or off.

Discovery Mode

Turn the discovery mode on or off. Choosing On allows the printer to detect other compatible Bluetooth-enabled devices.

Security

Set the security level to Low or High. The default setting is Low, which allows Bluetooth-enabled devices to connect and send jobs to the printer without entering a pass key. If the security is set to High, a four-digit pass key is required before Bluetooth-enabled devices can connect to the printer.

Pass Key

Set or change the pass key. The default value is “0000”.

Trusted Devices - Clear All

Clear the list of Bluetooth-enabled devices allowed to communicate with the printer.

Device Name

View the Device Name and the Universally Administered Address (UAA) number automatically assigned to your Bluetooth-enabled device.

Device Address

View the 48-bit address of your Bluetooth-enabled device.

Paper Handling

Set or change the default settings for the loading of paper in the paper tray or trays. For more information, see Understanding the Paper Handling menu.
