Check the print cartridges

Open the access cover and check the following items:

With the front of the printer facing you, check for proper print cartridge installation. If you are using a black cartridge, make sure that it is properly installed in the left carrier and the color cartridge in the right.

If you are using a photo cartridge, make sure it is properly installed in the left carrier and the color cartridge in the right.

Return to the Lexmark 810 Series Utility and check the cartridge ink level images that appear on the Cartridges tab. If a cartridge is low, or if you have received an error message indicating that a cartridge is running low on ink, install a new cartridge. Order supplies from the Lexmark Web site if you receive a warning that your ink levels are low. Install the print cartridge.
Individually remove the print cartridges from the carrier and verify that there is not a piece of transparent, blue tape on the bottom of each print cartridge. Re-insert the print cartridge into the carrier and follow the instruction on the screen.
