Scheduling tasks
The Scheduling feature lets you perform a task such as Printer Inventory or Job Accounting on a specific day at a specific time. Each task can have multiple schedules.
You can schedule the following tasks using MarkVision:
- Printer Inventory
- Billable Job Accounting
- Device Policies: Apply Policies
- Firmware Download
To schedule a task:
- Select Scheduling from the All Tasks menu or click Actions
Scheduling.
- Click Add.
- Select the task you want to schedule.
- Select the time you want the task to take place. You can schedule a task to occur on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis. If your scheduled task is to occur on a weekly or monthly basis, select the days on which you want it to occur.
- Configure the task.
- Click OK.
A schedule of events for the server appears in the calendar window.
Note: To schedule a device discovery, use the Device discovery task.
