You can install the Hosted Testing and Grading application on printers using the Lexmark Virtual Solution Center (VSC). For more information, see the Lexmark Virtual Solution Center User's Guide.
You must configure solution settings for the Hosted Testing and Grading application during the VSC deployment. During the Configure solutions settings step, you can configure the following settings:
UID—The school ID assigned to the school where you are installing the application
Notes:
Grade Profile Button Name—The name that appears with the icon for the Grade Tests profile on printer home screens
Print Profile Button Name—The name that appears with the icon for the Print Tests profile on printer home screens
Proxy Address and Port—When using application proxy settings, the IP address of the proxy server for your network followed by a colon and then the port number. If no eSF applications require communication with a server inside the proxy server, you can omit the application proxy settings and use the printer proxy settings. For more information about proxy settings in the application, see Configuring proxy settings in the application.
Proxy Local Domains—When using the Proxy Address and Port setting, any domains on the local network that do not require communication through the proxy server, separated by commas. For more information about proxy settings in the application, see Configuring proxy settings in the application.
On any printers that will be used to update the school roster, you should also install the Hosted Admin solution. No configuration is available or required for the Hosted Admin solution.
| Note: The Hosted Admin solution requires the Hosted Testing and Grading solution to be installed on the same printer. The Hosted Admin solution uses the application proxy settings configured in the Hosted Testing and Grading solution. |
