Print on coated or premium paper

Try printing on coated or premium paper. Different types of paper accept ink differently and print with slight color variations.

  1. Load coated or premium paper.
  2. Customize the settings in the Page Setup dialog.
    1. From the software application, click File  Page Setup.
    2. From the Settings pop-up menu, choose Page Attributes.
    3. From the Format for: pop-up menu, choose 2200 Series.
    4. Choose a paper size.
    5. Select an orientation.
    6. Click OK.
  3. Customize the settings in the Print dialog.
    1. From the software application, click File  Print.
    2. From the Printer pop-up menu, choose 2200 Series.
    3. From the pop-up menu in the upper left, choose Quality & Media.
    4. From the Paper Type: pop-up menu, choose Coated.
    5. From the Print Quality: area select Better or Best.
    6. Click Print. To avoid smudging ink, remove each coated or premium paper from the paper exit tray before the next one exits, and then let it dry before stacking.
