Error messages and blinking lights

If possible, correct the condition explained in the error message.

Ink Low

The print cartridge is running out of ink. The Ink Low warning occurs when your cartridges are about 25% full, 15% full, and 5% full.

Replace the print cartridges.

Paper jam

There is a paper jammed in the printer.

Clear the paper jam. For help, see Jams and misfeeds troubleshooting.

Paper out or Power/Resume button light blinks

The All-In-One is out of paper.

Load more paper into the printer. Press the Power/Resume button on the Control panel on your All-In-One to continue printing.

Power light blinks twice

The print cartridge carrier may be stalled.

Turn the printer off, wait a few seconds, and then turn the printer on.

Disk is full error

The hard disk may be running out of storage space.

  • Pay attention to the File Size: display on the Scan dialog to monitor your file size.
  • Delete files and remove applications that you no longer need.
  • Consider purchasing a storage media.

File is too large error

The scan image exceeded the maximum amount of data a file can hold.

  • Reduce the resolution, and size of the crop area in the Scan dialog.

Out of memory error

The scanning process takes up a large amount of system memory.

  • Close all unused files and applications.
  • Consider purchasing more memory for your computer.
