Print cartridge level seems incorrect

Are you printing photos or documents with a large amount of graphics or images?

If you want to conserve ink:

  • Select Quick as the print quality, or
  • Minimize the amount of graphics and images in the document.

The print quality and the type of documents you print affect the amount of ink being used. For more information, see Selecting a print quality.

Are you printing a large file?

Wait for the print job to finish, and then open the Lexmark 3300 Series Utility to see how much ink is left.

Print cartridge level seems to go down quickly

Are you printing photos or documents with a large amount of graphics or images?

If you want to conserve ink, minimize the amount of graphics and images in the document.

The type of documents you print affects the amount of ink being used.

Are you printing with Photo as the print quality setting?

If you want to conserve ink, select a print quality other than Photo. For more information, see Selecting a print quality

Note: Select Photo only when you are printing with photo or coated paper to reduce ink usage.

Cartridge is running low on ink as indicated by an error message
