Error messages and flashing lights troubleshooting

If possible, correct the condition explained in the error message.

Find the error message that is on the computer screen:

Error message

What it indicates

Solution

Ink Low

The print cartridge is running out of ink. The Ink Low warning occurs when the cartridges are about 25% full, 15% full, and 5% full.

Replace the print cartridge. For more information, see Removing the print cartridges and Installing the print cartridges.

Paper jam

The printer has a paper jam. Check for a paper jam, then press the arrow button on the printer control panel. Delete or stop the job and try again.

There is paper jammed in the All-In-One.

Clear the paper jam. For more information, see Jams and misfeeds troubleshooting.

Paper out

The printer is out of paper. Add paper then press the arrow button on the printer control panel to resume printing.

The All-In-One is out of paper.

Load more paper into the paper support of the All-In-One. Press to continue printing.

Power light blinks twice

The print cartridge carrier may be stalled.

Turn off the All-In-One, wait a few seconds, and then turn the All-In-One back on.

Carrier stall

The cartridge carrier is jammed. Remove any obstructions, then press the arrow button on the printer control panel. Delete or stop the job and try again.

The cartridge carrier is stalled.

  1. Remove obstructions, if any.
  2. Press .
  3. Delete or stop the job and try again.
