| Save the scan as a file to open later.
- You are prompted for a file name and format for the scan.
- Click the Disclosure arrow at the right end of the Where window to expand the directory and view all available locations.

You can also create new folders to contain the files. |

Clipboard
| Save the scan to the Clipboard so you can paste it into another document. Large scans may not fit the Clipboard.

Warning: |
Scanning at high resolution to the Clipboard uses up a large amount of system memory and drastically affects system performance. |

Customize list
| Add, remove, or modify an application to which you can send the scanned images for saving or editing. For more information, see Editing the Customize list.
