Paper type sensor

The All-In-One has a paper type sensor that detects and automatically adjusts the paper type settings in the Print dialog. When set to Automatic, the paper type sensor recognizes the following paper types:

• Plain
• Coated
• Glossy/Photo
• Transparency

Note:

For multiple-page jobs, the All-In-One assumes the subsequent pages are the same paper type as the first sheet detected.

By default, the paper type sensor is set to Automatic.

You can turn off the paper type sensor, and manually choose the paper type:

1. From the software application, choose File  Print.
2. From the "Printer" pop-up menu, choose 4300 Series.
3. From the third pop-up menu from the top, choose Quality & Media.
4. From the "Paper Type" pop-up menu, choose a preferred paper type other than Automatic.
5. Click Print.

   Note:

   Although the All-In-One can detect the type of paper you are using, it cannot detect the paper size. Make sure you select the appropriate paper size in the Page Setup dialog.
