PictBridge

With PictBridge, you can print images captured by your digital camera without using a computer or image-editing software. Simply connect the PictBridge-enabled digital camera to a printer with a PictBridge port using the USB cable that came with the digital camera.

PictBridge includes a wide range of functions, but the particular functions available will depend on the individual device specifications.

PictBridge features

All PictBridge-enabled devices share three basic features: camera-to-printer connecting, single-image printing, and uniform error messages.

Some advanced features of PictBridge are:

• Printing of two or more images selected from the display on the digital camera
• Automatic printing of images using the DPOF specification
• Printing an index of all images
• Printing all images
• Printing part of an image
• Printing multiple copies of a single image
• Printing images with a date stamp
• Specifying the exact size of a printed image
• Discontinuing a print job
• Restarting from recoverable errors
