Install the printer software

You can install the printer software using the CD that comes with the printer, or you can download it from the Lexmark Web site at www.lexmark.com.

Using the CD that comes with your printer

Installation process
  1. Close all open software applications.
  2. Insert the printer software CD.
  3. Double-click the P910 Series Installer CD icon on your desktop. The P910 Series Installer dialog is displayed. On this dialog are the Install icon and the Help installer icon.
  4. Double-click the Install icon.
  5. Complete the authentication notice, and then click OK. You are guided through the introduction.
    Note: For help with your password or phrase, click to access Help.
  6. Click Continue. You are guided through the Readme files.
  7. Click Continue. You are guided through the license agreement.
  8. From the pop-up menu at the top, choose a language.
  9. Click Continue.
  10. Click Agree.
  11. Select the OS you are currently running as the destination where the printer software will be installed, and then click Continue.
  12. Click Install.
Post-installation process
  1. If your language is not supported, choose a language from the list to install the software. Click Continue.
    Note: If your language is not supported by the driver, the English version of the driver will be installed.
  2. Choose the country or region closest to you, and then click Continue.
  3. If there is no printer attached, or there are two or more printers in the network, the Printer Selection dialog appears. Follow the instructions on the screen.
  4. Click OK.
  5. The printer software installation is complete. You can:
    • Register your printer on the Internet.
    • Print a test page to verify that your printer is working properly.
    • Check the Lexmark Web site for offers (United States and Canada only).
  6. Click Finished when you are done. A reminder that the printer is supported only in Mac OS X version 10.1.5 or later appears.
  7. Click OK.
  8. Click Close to close the installer dialog. The Lexmark P910 Series folder is created on your desktop. You are now ready to start using your Lexmark P910 Series printer.

Using the World Wide Web

  1. Access the Lexmark Web site at www.lexmark.com.
  2. On the home page, navigate through the menu selection, and then click Drivers & Downloads.
  3. Select the printer and the printer driver for your operating system.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the driver and install the printer software.
