Checking the print cartridges
Open the scanner unit and check the following items:
- Are the cartridges properly installed?
With the front of the All-In-One facing you, check for proper print cartridge installation.
- If you are using a color cartridge, make sure it is properly installed in the right carrier.
- If the are using a black or photo cartridge, make sure it is properly installed in the left carrier.
- Are any of the cartridges low on ink?
- Return to the Lexmark 3300 Series Utility and check the cartridge ink level images that appear on each tab. If a cartridge is low, or if you have received an error message on the screen, install a new cartridge.
Note: |
An empty or low cartridge is marked with an exclamation point. |
- For cartridge ordering information, see Ordering supplies.
- To install a new cartridge, see Installing the print cartridges.
- Is the transparent tape removed completely from the print cartridges?
Individually remove the print cartridges from the carrier and verify that there is not a piece of transparent, blue tape left on the bottom of the cartridge. If there is a piece of tape, remove it because it keeps the ink from leaving the print cartridge.
