When loading various paper types

Plain paper
|
- Use paper designed for inkjet printers.
- Make sure the paper is not used or damaged.
- Do not force the paper into the All-In-One.
|
Coated or premium paper
|
- Use coated or premium paper designed for inkjet printers.
- Load coated or premium paper with the coated side facing you.
|
Photo or glossy paper
|
- Use photo or glossy paper designed for inkjet printers.
- Load photo or glossy paper with the glossy side facing you.
|
Iron-on transfers
|
- Use iron-on transfers designed for inkjet printers.
- Make sure the print (blank) side of the iron-on transfers faces you.
- Load iron-on transfers vertically against the right side of the paper support.

Cards
|
- Use cards (greeting cards, index cards, photo cards, or postcards) designed for inkjet printers.
- Make sure the cards are not used or damaged.
- Check that the thickness does not exceed 0.025 inches.
- Load the cards vertically against the right side of the paper support.

Envelopes
|
- Use envelopes designed for inkjet printers.
- Do not load envelopes with holes, perforations, cutouts, deep embossing, metal clasps, metal folding bars, string ties, or exposed adhesive flaps.
- Load the envelopes vertically against the right side of the paper support with the stamp location in the upper left corner.

Labels
|
- Use labels designed for inkjet printers.
- Load labels with the coated side facing you.
- Make sure the adhesive on the labels does not extend to within 1 mm of the edge of the label.

Load transparencies
|
- Use transparencies designed for inkjet printers.
- Load the transparencies with the rough side facing you.
- If the transparencies have paper backing sheets, remove the the paper from the transparencies before you load them.
- If the transparencies have a removable strip, make sure each strip faces away from you and down toward the All-In-One.

Banner paper
|
- Place a stack of banner paper behind the printer.
- Load the leading edge of the banner paper into the printer against the right side of the paper support.
- Loading excess banner paper may cause a paper jam. For more information, see Paper jams.

If you are using letter size banner paper, you do not need to adjust the paper guide. |
