Adjust color settings
Instead of using the automatic settings, you can manually adjust the color settings for optimum color output.
From the Print dialog (when printing)
- From your software application, choose File
Print.
- From the Copies & Pages pop-up menu in the upper left corner, select Color Options.
- Choose from the following color settings:
- Color. Produces natural colors; ideal for printing photos and graphics.
- Black Only. Uses only the black cartridge to print, so that all output is pure black. This option also helps increase printing speed.
- Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.
- Click Preview.
- On the Scan tab, you can adjust the color settings as follows:
- From the Settings tab, select a preset scan setting corresponding to your document.
-
If a preset setting is not satisfactory, customize the scan settings by adjusting color depth, resolution, and choosing a descreen option.
- From the Adjustments tab, adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, and blur or sharpen your image.
- Invert colors.
- On the Copy dialog, you can adjust the color settings as follows:
- From the Settings tab under Copy Type, select:
- Color - for all color documents and images.
- Grayscale - for black and white images.
- Black - for text-only documents.
- Descreen.
- From the Adjustments tab, adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, and blur or sharpen your image.
- Invert colors.
