Convert scanned items to text

Using the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software feature in your All-In-One, you can turn scanned images into editable text within a word processing application.

1. Load your document on the scanner glass.
2. Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.

The Lexmark All-In-One Center Main Page displays.

3. From the Device pop-up menu, select Lexmark 5200 Series.
4. On the Scan tab, open the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu.
5. Choose To edit text (OCR).

   Note:

   The OCR function is not available if Photo is selected from the What is being scanned? pop-up menu.

6. Click Scan.

Your scanned image is converted to editable text. Open your scanned image from the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) application for preview and edit.
