Optical Character Recognition (OCR)

With the Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software feature, you can turn scanned images into editable text for use in a word processing application.

1. Load your document on the scanner glass.
2. Open the Lexmark All-In-One Center.

The Lexmark All-In-One Center Main Page displays.

3. From the Device pop-up menu, select Lexmark 5200 Series.
4. On the Scan tab, open the How will the scan be used? pop-up menu.
5. Choose To edit text (OCR).

   Note:

   The OCR option is not available if Photo is selected from the What is being scanned? menu.

6. Click Scan.

Your scanned image is converted to editable text. Open your scanned image from the OCR (Optical Character Recognition) application for preview or edit.
