Problems with memory card reader and PictBridge

Memory card cannot be inserted

Is your memory card supported by your All-In-One?

  • Check if your memory card type is supported by your All-In-One. Most types of memory cards are compatible with the memory card reader of your All-In-One. Go to Memory card reader.
  • Follow the guidelines to insert your memory card. Go to Memory card reader.
  • Check the documentation for your memory card for more information.

Memory card is not recognized by the All-In-One

Is the memory card damaged?

Verify that there is no damage to the memory card.

Is the memory card inserted correctly?

Insert the memory card correctly. Go to Memory card reader.

Is there more than one memory card inserted at the same time?

Only one memory card may be used at one time. Remove the second memory card.

Are you using a supported memory card type?

For the list of supported memory cards, go to Memory card reader.

Is your All-In-One properly connected?

Disconnect and then reconnect the USB cable to the All-In-One. Check the cable connection.

Make sure your All-In-One is powered on.

Does your memory card contain photos not taken by a digital camera?

If your memory card is formatted by devices other than a digital camera, and contains images or information not taken by a digital camera, your All-In-One may not recognize it. Use only those memory cards containing photos taken with a digital camera.

Do you have a PictBridge-enabled digital camera connected to the All-In-One?

Disconnect the PictBridge-enabled digital camera from the All-In-One.

Cannot print from the digital camera

Is the digital camera PictBridge compatible?

Remove the device and use a PictBridge-enabled digital camera in the PictBridge port. Refer to your digital camera documentation to determine if it is PictBridge compatible.

Is the PictBridge-enabled digital camera set to the correct USB mode?

Refer to your digital camera documentation for help in selecting the correct USB mode.

Is there a memory card inserted in the memory card reader?

Remove the memory card from the memory card reader.

Are you using the USB cable that came with your digital camera?

You must use the USB cable that came with your digital camera. Refer to your digital camera documentation to determine which type of USB cable it supports.
