Print dialog

The Print dialog is the software that controls the All-In-One printing functions. Customize the settings in the Print dialog according to the type of project you want to create. When you install the All-In-One software, Quality & Media in the Print dialog is set to these default settings:

You can open the Print dialog from almost any application:

  1. With your document open, choose File  Print....
    • Mac OS X v10.1


    • Mac OS X v10.2


    • Mac OS X v10.3 Panther


  2. From the Printer pop-up menu, choose 6200 Series.
  3. Change the settings as needed.

    Copies

    Specify the number of copies you want to print (1-99).

    Collated

    Sort multiple copy jobs.

    Pages

    • Print all of the pages in a document.
    • Print a range of pages.
    • Print the current page.

    Layout

    Pages per Sheet

    Print multiple pages of your document on a single sheet of paper.

    Layout Direction

    Print the pages of your document in a specified order.

    Border

    Print a border around each page of your document.

    Output Options

    Save as File

    Print your document to a PDF or PostScript format.

    Scheduler (Mac OS X v10.3 Panther)

    Print Document

    Schedule your print job. You can choose to print your document immediately or put it on hold. You can also specify a time to print it.

    Priority

    Specify your print job as Urgent, High, Medium, or Low.

    Paper Handling (Mac OS X v10.3 Panther)

    Reverse page order

    Print the last page of your document first.

    Print

    Select to print all pages, odd-numbered pages, or even-numbered pages.

    ColorSync (Mac OS X v10.3 Panther)

    Quartz Filter

    Choose a filtering option.

    • Choose None.
    • Choose a preset filter such as sepia.
    • Reduce file size.
    • Decrease or increase lightness.
    • Add filters.

    Color Options

    Document Color

    Choose a color setting. Choose Color or Black Only.

    Advanced Options

    Print Last Page First (Mac OS X v10.1 and Mac OS X v10.2)

    Print your document in reverse page order.

    Mirror

    Print your document as a mirror image.

    Automatic Image Sharpening

    Reduce image blurring.

    Quality & Media

    Paper Type

    Choose the paper type. You can choose Automatic, Plain, Coated, Standard Glossy/Photo, Lexmark Everyday Glossy, Lexmark Premium Glossy, Transparency, or Iron-On Transfer.

    Print Quality

    Choose a print quality. You can choose Automatic, Quick Print, Normal, or Photo.

    Normal print quality is recommended for most documents. Higher print quality settings result in better quality documents for some paper types, but take longer to print.

    Lexmark 6200 Series Utility

    Go to the All-In-One utility.

    Troubleshooting

    Open the Help Center.

    Order Supplies

    Go to the Lexmark Web site to order printer supplies.

    Contact Lexmark

    Go to the Lexmark Web site for support.

    Software Version

    View the software version on installed files.

    Summary

    View a summary of the current print settings.

Preview

Get a full view of your document and see additional options for viewing or reviewing it prior to printing.

Save As PDF...

Print your document to file (in Mac OS X v10.2 and later) and Create a PDF.

Fax...

Fax your document (in Mac OS X v10.3 Panther).

Cancel

Exit the Print dialog without making any changes to the settings.

Start printing.
