Adjusting color settings when printing
- From the software application, choose File Print. The Print dialog appears.
- From the third pop-up menu from the top, choose Color Options.
- Select from the following color settings:
- ColorProduces natural colors; ideal for printing photos and graphics.
- Black OnlyUses only the black cartridge to print, so output is grayscale. This option also helps increase printing speed.
For Mac OS X version 10.3
The ColorSync feature in Mac OS X version 10.3 lets you further enhance color settings.
- Open the Print dialog.
- From the third pop-up menu from the top, choose ColorSync.
- From Quartz Filter, choose Black & White, Blue Tone, Gray Tone, Lightness Decrease, Lightness Increase, Reduce File Size, or Sepia Tone. To create a customized filter, choose Add Filters. Follow the instructions on the computer screen to create and add your custom filter.
