Adjust color settings
You can adjust the color settings for optimum color output. Below are definitions of the settings with a few hints on when to use them.
From the Print dialog (when printing)
- From your software application, choose File Print.
- From the pop-up menu in the left, choose Color Options.
- The following document color settings are available:
- Natural Color. Produces natural colors; ideal for realistic images.
- Vivid Color. Produces saturated colors; ideal for printing graphics.
- Black Only. Uses only the black cartridge to print, so that all output is pure black. This option also helps increase printing speed.
- Open the Lexmark 2200 Series Center.
- Click the Scan tab if you want to scan and image or click the Copy tab if you want to copy an image.
- Click Preview... .
- On the Scan dialog, you can adjust the color settings as follows:
- From the Settings tab, select a preset scan setting corresponding to your document. If a preset setting is not satisfactory, customize the scan settings by adjusting the color depth and resolution, and applying descreen.
- From the Adjustments tab, adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, and blur or sharpen your image.
- Invert colors.
- On the Copy dialog, you can adjust the color settings as follows:
- From the Settings tab, select Color for all color documents and images, Grayscale for black and white images, or Black for text-only documents.
- From the Descreen pop-up menu, choose your preferred descreen option.
- From the Adjustments tab, adjust the brightness, contrast, gamma, and blur or sharpen your image.
- Invert colors.
