Install the All-In-One software

Use the CD that comes with your All-In-One to install the All-In-One software, or download the software version for your All-In-One from the Lexmark Web site.

Using the CD that comes with your All-In-One

Installation process

1. Close all open software applications.
2. Insert the All-In-One software CD.
3. Double-click the Lexmark 2200 Series CD icon on your desktop. The 2200 Series installer dialog is displayed. On this dialog are the Install icon, the Lexmark Extras folder, and the Help installer icon.
4. Double-click the Install icon.
5. Complete the authentication notice, and then click OK.
6. You are guided through the Introduction, Read Me files, and License Agreement. If you have a printer installed in your system, you can print the Read Me and License Agreement messages by clicking the Print... button. You can save the Read Me and License Agreement messages by clicking the Save... button. From the Read Me and License Agreement dialog, you can go back to the previous dialogs by clicking the Go Back button. Click the Continue button on each of these dialogs to proceed to the next step.
7. Click the Agree button on the License Agreement confirmation dialog.
8. Select the destination drive on which to install your All-In-One software, and then click Continue. The Installation type dialog is displayed.
9. Click Install to start the installation. The Installation progress dialog is displayed. The Lexmark 2200 Series folder is created on your desktop after the installation is complete. An Upgrade button is displayed instead of an Install button if you have previously installed the All-In-One software.
10. Click Close.

Post-installation process

1. Choose a language for your All-In-One software, and then click Continue. The Language selection dialog is displayed only if your operating system's user location settings is not supported by the All-In-One software.
2. Choose the country or region nearest you, and then click Continue. The Cartridge Verification dialog is displayed. The Printer Selection dialog is displayed before the Cartridge Verification dialog if:

• There is no printer attached to your computer.
• There is more than one printer attached to your computer.
• There is more than one network printer configured on your computer. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the printer selection.

3. Specify cartridge settings in the All-In-One software. The Cartridge Alignment dialog is displayed.
4. The All-In-One software installation is complete. You can:

• Register your All-In-One on the Internet.
• Print a test page to observe your All-In-One in action.

5. Click Finished when you are done. You are now ready to start using your Lexmark 2200 Series All-In-One.

Using the World Wide Web

It is easy to install your All-In-One software from the Web:

1. Access the Lexmark Web site, www.lexmark.com.
2. On the home page, navigate through the menu selection and click Drivers & Downloads.
3. Select the printer and the printer driver for your operating system.
4. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the driver and install the All-In-One software. The Lexmark Extras folder is not available in the software downloaded from the Web.
