Adding the All-In-One to the printer list

You must add the network printer to the printer list during installation if the computer has no USB-attached printer. You must also add an All-In-One to the printer list after you configure it.

Adding the All-In-One to the printer list during installation:

  1. Follow the steps in Installing the All-In-One software. The 3300 Series Printer Selection dialog appears when the software detects that there are no USB-attached printers.
  2. Follow the instructions on the screen to open the Print Center.
  3. When the Printer List dialog appears, click Add or Add Printer.
  4. From the pop-up menu, choose Lexmark Inkjet Networking.
  5. Select the All-In-One that you want to add.
  6. Click Configure.
  7. Assign an IP address, if necessary.
  8. Click OK.
  9. Click Add.
  10. Click Continue on the 3300 Series Printer Selection dialog to continue with the installation.

Adding the printer to the printer list from the software application:

  1. Make sure the All-In-One is properly connected and the power is on.
  2. From the software application, choose File   Print.
  3. From the "Printer" pop-up menu, choose Edit Printer List.
  4. When the Printer List dialog appears, click Add or Add Printer.
  5. Choose the connection type from the pop-up menu.

    If you choose USB

    If you choose Lexmark Inkjet Networking

    1. Select the All-In-One from the list.
    2. Click Add.
    1. Select the 3300 Series All-In-One from the list.
      Note: Printers networked through external adapters display the name of the printer and the six-digit MAC address of the adapter.
    1. Click Add.

Adding the All-In-One to the Printer List from the Print Center:

  1. Make sure the All-In-One is properly connected and the power is on.
  2. From the Finder window, choose Applications   Utilities   Print Center.
  3. Double-click the Print Center icon.
  4. When the Printer List dialog appears, click Add or Add Printer.
  5. Choose the connection type from the pop-up menu.

    If you choose USB

    If you choose Lexmark Inkjet Networking

    1. Select the All-In-One from the list.
    2. Click Add.

    1. Click Add.

Adding a USB-attached All-In-One (For Mac OS X version 10.2.3 or later)

  1. From the software application, choose File   Print.
  2. From the "Printer" pop-up menu, choose Edit Printer List.
  3. When the Printer List dialog appears, click Add or Add Printer.
  4. From the "Printer" pop-up menu, choose Advanced.
  5. From the "Device" pop-up menu, choose 3300 Series.
    Note: Make sure that the Device URI field has lexusb in the entry.
  6. From the "Product Model" pop-up menu, choose 3300 Series.
  7. Click Add.
