Installing the All-In-One software

Use the CD that comes with the All-In-One to install the All-In-One software, or download the software version for the All-In-One from the Lexmark Web site at www.lexmark.com.

Using the CD that comes with the All-In-One

Installation process

  1. Close all open software applications.
  2. Insert the All-In-One software CD.
  3. Double-click the 3300 Series CD icon on the desktop. The 3300 Series Installer dialog appears. On this dialog are the Install icon, the Lexmark Extras folder, and the Help installer icon.
  4. Double-click the Install icon.
  5. Click Continue in each of the dialogs.
  6. Complete the authentication notice, and then click Continue.
    Note: For information on passwords, click to go to the Help Center.
  7. Click Agree to accept the terms of the software license agreement and to continue installing the software.
  8. Select a destination disk for the All-In-One software, and then click Continue.
  9. Click Install. The 3300 Series folder is created on the desktop.
    Note: The ABBYY FineReader 5 Sprint X, an add-on application that provides the fax and OCR functionality for the All-In-One, is automatically installed.

Post-installation process

  1. Choose a language for the All-In-One software, and then click Continue.
    Note: This step is required only when the current Language settings of the operating system are not supported by the All-In-One software.
  2. Choose the country or region nearest you, and then click Continue.
  3. The Printer Setup is Complete dialog appears. Click Close.
  4. The All-In-One software installation is complete. You can:
    • Register the All-In-One on the Internet.
    • Print a test page to observe the All-In-One in action.
    • Check the Lexmark Web site for offers (United States and Canada only).
  5. Click Finished.
  6. For Mac OS X version 10.2.3 only, choose
—Install ESP Ghostscript included in this software and follow the instructions on the screen.
—Download the latest version of ESP Ghostscript installer from the Web and follow the instructions on the screen.
Note: You can also choose to install the ESP Ghostscript separately. For more information, see Installing the All-In-One add-on software.
  1. Click OK.
  2. Click Close. You are now ready to start using the 3300 Series All-In-One.

Using the Lexmark Web site

  1. Go to the Lexmark Web site, www.lexmark.com.
  2. On the home page, navigate through the menu selection and click Drivers & Downloads.
  3. Select the printer and the printer driver for your operating system.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to download the driver and install the All-In-One software.
    Note: The Lexmark Extras folder is not available in the software downloaded from the Web.
